Joe DeLaurentis founded Tiger Group, Inc in 1992. Bringing his years of construction and industrial experience along with his many years as a successful business owner, Joe had a vision of growing a highly skilled team of inspectors to meet the diverse needs of the industry. Joe’s past experience includes residential remodeling and new construction as well as equipment and facilities engineering. While completing innumerable home and commercial building inspections and surveys since 1991, Joe also received Connecticut’s DEP “S” or Supervisory Certification for wood boring insects and is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors.

As Principle of Tiger Group, Inc., Joe “Jr” is hands on in all facets of the business including staff management, daily operations, and business development. He still enjoys time away from the office to conduct inspections when time allows.
After graduating from Colorado State University with a BS in Construction Management, Joe built upon his construction knowledge with years of hands on experience in new home construction, remodeling and commercial construction. Joining his father at Tiger Group in 1995, together they have grown and strengthened the family business. He continues his lifelong interest in construction through the inspection business by broadening his knowledge in construction methods and materials. His specific interests lie in timber frame, energy efficiency, and alternative construction. Along with a CT Home Inspection License, Joe is a member in the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), has the State of Connecticut Supervisory License for Wood Boring Insects, and National NRPP Certification for Radon Testing.

Bill brings to each inspection over twenty years of experience in the residential and commercial building inspection fields. Additionally, Bill has extensive experience in residential energy conservation and in conducting Phase I Environmental Surveys.
Additionally, Bill is the Manager of the Tiger Mold Division and is certified as a Mold Investigator and Remediator by the National Association of Mold Remediators and Inspectors (NAMRI).
Montee joined Tiger Group’s Commercial Division in 2017 as Manager of Commercial Services for our growing Commercial Division. His responsibilities include business development, conducting site assessments, and overseeing the collaboration of the reports. With over 20 years of professional experience in commercial leasing, real estate development, general contracting, construction management, and government contracting, he has a vast array of experience and a well-rounded background suited for his new role.
Montee’s hands-on management of the commercial construction process combined with his brokering leases of over a million square feet of office space in major metropolitan areas gives him a unique perspective on providing clients information on building conditions as well as planning to maintain asset value. Montee is a member of ASHI and Certified under Carson Dunlop Weldon Commercial InspectionPprocess.
He and his wife are avid fans of their son’s football team and enjoy spending time fly-fishing and sailing with the family. He has a Ph.D. in Physics and a B.A. in English.
Brett comes to Tiger with extensive experience in the building industry, including most recently working in the solar and building efficiency field. He has worked for years honing his organizational efficiency and people management skills as a Project Manager. A ‘people person’ by nature, he has a unique ability to make people feel at ease during the home inspection process, while sharing a realistic assessment of the conditions of the home. Brett brings both the knowledge of how buildings work and a high level of customer service to the fore.
Brett resides in Guilford with his wife and their 2 boys. When not inspecting homes, he enjoys playing guitar, coaching and playing soccer, and kayaking on open waters.

Bret comes to The Tiger Group with over 20 years of experience in various aspects of the construction business. Through the years Bret has worked in remodeling, new construction, building material supply, and project management giving him an intimate knowledge of proper construction techniques, materials and systems. Pairing this with the experience of owning a 150 year old Historic home for the past decade, Bret has unique insight and extensive home knowledge to share with his clients.
Bret holds a State of CT Pesticide Operators Certification. Additionally, he works with our Environmental Services Group as a Certified Mold Inspector and has completed the National Radon Proficiency Program (NEHA) for Measurement Professionals.

Early on in life, Bob gained extensive experience as part of a do-it-yourself family that refurbished and remodeled homes. Bob broadened his knowledge and skills at a professional level with his experience in new home construction, additions and complete home renovations, plus an exposure to plumbing and electrical work.
Bob diverted from the industry to embark on a successful career in the software field. Returning to the industry and joining Tiger Group in 2005, Bob applies his diverse background and expansive skill set with a focus on client service to his inspections. Prior to becoming a home inspector, Art gained significant experience in the industry working in roofing, masonry, dry walling, as well as owning and operating a masonry and landscape business for over 15 years. As a past licensed Real Estate Agent in Connecticut, Art brings a greater understanding of the industry to Tiger Group, Inc. His knowledge and attention to detail has attributed to his thoroughness in his inspections. John Dehler joins Tiger with over 3 years of inspection experience and brings with him 15 years of building expertise with skills in antique home restoration, new construction builds and remodeling projects. Patrick comes to Tiger with over 25 years in the building trades, including plumbing, electrical, construction, and carpentry. He has a passion for detail, which he acquired through his years of paperhanging and woodworking. Additionally, Patrick has an in-depth grasp of the client service-side of being a home inspector as he has the unique experience of creating and running 2 restaurants in the past. His ability to calmly communicate allows his inspections to flow seamlessly, and he is highly likely to make you smile a time or two through the process.

Tom’s experience began in residential construction framing, roofing and siding new homes for local contractors. He continued to expand his knowledge through learning the electrical and plumbing trades as he worked on a building maintenance crew at a large commercial warehouse/office facility as well as gaining valuable experiences employed as a building superintendent for a 114 unit apartment complex. Since 1995, Tom has applied his vast expertise as a licensed home inspector. Inspecting both residential and commercial structures, Tom shares with our clients his extensive knowledge in a calm and pleasing manner.
Mark was introduced to residential construction at an early age whilst working at his father’s general contracting business. Alan Williams brings over 30 years of building and renovation expertise to Tiger Group Inc. With a past focus on renovation and restoration of historic buildings and churches, and work experience in remodeling and new construction, Alan is a well-rounded home inspector up for any challenge.
Additionally, Alan’s experience includes new construction building, construction management, supervision of lead paint abatement projects, and assisting non-profit organizations in obtaining grants for renovations. Gaining marketing experience at start-ups in her early business career, Kara joined the family inspection business in 2003. In addition to her field role as Regional Marketing Manager for Fairfield, Westchester & New Haven Counties, she oversees the business development and marketing programs for Tiger Group, Inc. Kara is a graduate of Skidmore College. When not representing Tiger at a local real estate event, Kara is an avid equestrian, volunteers for labrador rescue, and enjoys yoga and skiing. She resides in Fairfield, CT.
Following his graduation from the University of Vermont, Kip spent a year in Vietnam and returned home to join First Bank as a Management Trainee. He spent 10 years with there, moving up through the ranks to his final position as Vice President and Director of Personnel. During that period, Kip earned an MBA at the University of New Haven and graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. In 1980 Kip left banking to start an Executive Search Firm specializing in the Financial and Banking sectors. In 1997, Kip joined Tiger Group, Inc. as our first full-time Marketing Manager. His banking and personnel experience have proved invaluable in his development of long lasting relationships within the real estate industry. Today, he manages our business development for Central Connecticut, the Eastern Shoreline and North to MA border. He resides in Madison, CT.
Brian joined the Tiger Group in 2013 as the Regional Marketing Manager for the Litchfield, Hartford, Tolland and Springfield markets. He brings over 30 years of sales and marketing experience to Tiger Group Inc. Brian has been to hundreds of home inspections and knows the level of service clients expect. He has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the Real Estate transaction and what buyers, sellers and Realtors require, as he has been a licensed Realtor in Connecticut for 18 years prior to coming to the Tiger Group.
We are fortunate to welcome Luke to our Environmental CSA Team. Luke comes to Tiger with 8 years’ experience in the customer service industry and the carpentry trades, including commercial and residential construction and remodeling. I’m sure you’ll agree, both his work experience and friendly demeanor makes Luke a true asset to our clients.
He holds an Associate Degree in Business Marketing and Management from Holyoke Community College. Additionally, his passions include gardening and working to start a small farm providing exceptional produce to our community. Residing in East Granby with his girlfriend and their pets, he spends his free time, traveling, hiking, camping, snow and skateboarding.
We’d like to welcome Jessie Hardy to the Tiger Group Environmental Services Division. Jessie comes to Tiger with a valuable background in Real Estate, Environmental Training, with expertise in the HVACR field. He maintains a variety of environmental and safety certifications, including holding a State of Connecticut Certification for Radon Proficiency.
Jessie lives in Hartford with his wife and children and is deeply involved in the operations and maintenance of his local church.
Along with her bright smile and positive attitude, Larissa brings to Tiger’s Environmental Team a relevant history of conducting routine analysis of in-process material, raw material & environmental samples. Her many licenses and certifications include: Lead Abatement Supervisor, Asbestos Abatement Worker, OSHA 10 License, Hazmat/ Hazwoper, LRRP and State of Connecticut Radon Proficiency.
Currently in School for Environmental Science & Toxicology, she is a quick learner and enjoys new experiences (knowledge is power). With strong multi- tasking skills as well as, communication and organization skills, she is an invaluable asset to our Environmental Team.

Carrie brings over 22 years of customer service experience to Tiger Group as an Environmental Technician. Joining Tiger in 2010, she understands the quality and level of service it takes to succeed in today’s demanding market. Carrie is certified by the National Radon Proficiency Program for Radon Measurement (NEHA).

Promoted to the Environmental Services Division in 2009, Susan is a Radon Technician, certified by the National Radon Proficiency Program. She is a great asset to our inspection clients, providing expedited water and radon testing during the real estate transaction.
