WHAT IS HOME AIR QUALITY TESTING?
Have you wondered, am I breathing clean air in my home? After spending an extraordinary amount of time in our homes over the past 2 years, many people have become concerned about the toxins and contaminants they may be breathing, pollutants caused by everyday living.
Airborne allergens can have a significant effect on your health. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), “allergies are the 6th leading cause of chronic illness in the U.S. with an annual cost in excess of $18 billion. More than 50 million Americans suffer from allergies each year.”
Our Home Air Quality Screening (HAQ) includes both airborne particulate and mold sampling, identifying the indoor levels of over 20 common airborne allergens, including many types of fibers, insect residue, soot, silicate, dander, pollen, and many other irritants. This can be invaluable information for those with allergies or respiratory concerns. Additionally, the mold samples will be used for comparison of the indoor and outdoor air.
During our screening home visit, samples taken at your home will be analyzed by a nationally accredited laboratory and presented in an easily understood lab report. The Tiger Home Air Quality Report includes detailed site visit information, interpretation of lab results by our Certified HAQ Specialists, and direction for next steps.
For your peace of mind, our HAQ professionals will assist you throughout the process of discovering the air quality conditions in your living space. With your screening results, you can determine the path best suited to address your indoor air quality concerns, including recommendations for further testing, cleaning, or remediation, or if applicable, follow-up with your healthcare professional.
At Tiger, we have seen a growing need and increased requests for independent third-party Home Air Quality Testing. We have helped many homeowners better understand their indoor living environment and led them on their path to a healthier lifestyle.
