As you may know, Tiger Group is continuing to provide inspection services through COVID-19, with new inspection procedures for the safety of all. Within our daily inspections, our staff has been often asked about follow-up services for their new homes, including disinfectant services for viruses, most recently for COVID-19. Because we are not experts in this field, Green Home Solutions has provided us with the following information on Indoor Disinfectant Services.
There are several specialized indoor disinfection services to treat surfaces for active viruses and bacteria, including the latest threat, Coronavirus (COVID-19). Disinfection protocols, coupled with the EPA registered disinfectants and other cleaning products can treat a room or space against a wide spectrum of bacteria, germs and viruses. These disinfection services are ideal for high traffic locations and can often be completed within a single day.
What is an Indoor Disinfect?
In short, a disinfectant is an agent that kills or inhibits pathogenic organisms. Green Home Solutions has a variety of EPA registered disinfectant solutions and other cleaning products that can be used based on the needs of your specific application.
How Can You Disinfect a Home or Business?
Green Home Solutions has 3 different levels of disinfection services available for your home or business. Which level you choose will depend on your specific needs and suggestions offered by a Green Home Solutions Representative.
Level 1 – General Disinfection
Level 1 disinfection services will treat a home or business with EPA registered disinfectants and use mandated protocols to keep a home or business safe.
The Level 1 disinfection program includes:
- A technician treats the home or business while wearing personal protection equipment (PPE).
- Technicians manually clean all high contact surfaces with a high quality environmentally friendly cleaner, followed by a treatment of the home or business with our EPA registered, hospital-grade disinfectant which uses a proprietary blend of plant-based enzymes, known as Oceanic.
Level 2 – Enhanced Disinfection
This level of disinfection will treat a home or business with EPA registered disinfectants and use Green Home Solutions mandated protocols to keep a home or business safe. It will also include the application of HalomistTM. Halosil’s HaloMistTM is a proprietary hydrogen peroxide disinfectant formula that is proven to kill 99.9999% of C. difficile spores, along with a broad range of other pathogens in infection-prone environments.
The level 2 disinfection program includes:
- Technicians treat the home or business while wearing personal protection equipment (PPE).
- Technicians establish a decontamination area outside the home or business which will be used to treat all team members and equipment who enter or leave the building during and after treatment.
- Technicians create containment area(s) in a home to prevent the spread of germs, bacteria and viruses as we perform the work.
- Technicians manually clean all surfaces with a high quality environmentally friendly cleaner.
- Technicians apply HalomistTM, which is known to kill more than 99.999% of all viruses and bacteria, including many recent viruses.
- In the level 2 program, the HalomistTM application process is known as a “wet application” that coats all surfaces with Halomist for a period of time manually by our technicians.
Level 3 – Hospital Grade Disinfection
This level of disinfection has all the benefits of our level 2 Disinfection, except that Green Home Solutions will use the same system hospitals use to disinfect their spaces. Halosil’s Halo Dry Fog system applies HaloMistTM with the Halosil Fogger utilized in several hospitals nationwide. Halosil’s HaloMistTM is a proprietary hydrogen peroxide disinfectant formula that is proven to kill 99.9999% of C. difficile spores, along with a broad range of other pathogens in infection-prone environments. This process is known as a “Dry Fog” application. The level 3 Hospital Grade Disinfection was developed by the Green Home Solutions team of experts as the best way to control viruses, germs and bacteria.
The level 3 disinfection program includes:
- Technicians treat the home or business while wearing personal protection equipment (PPE).
- Technicians establish a decontamination area outside the home or business which will be used to treat all team members and equipment who enter or leave the home during and after treatment.
- Technicians create containment area(s) in the home to prevent the spread of germs, bacteria and viruses as we perform the work.
- Technicians manually clean all surfaces with a high quality environmentally friendly cleaner.
- Technicians apply HalomistTM with the Halosil Fogger, which is known to kill more than 99.9999% of all viruses and bacteria, including many recent viruses.
Halosil COVID-19 Statement of Efficacy
Halosil’s HaloMist TM has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on hard, non-porous surfaces. Therefore, HaloMist can be used against COVID-19 when used as directed for use against small non-enveloped viruses including Feline Calicivirus (surrogate for Norovirus) and Minute Virus of Mice (MVM) on hard, non-porous surfaces.
