Septic Inspections Done Right — Now with a Dedicated Expert on Staff
We’re excited to share that Tiger Home & Building Inspections now has a full-time, experienced septic inspection professional on our team! That means faster scheduling, quicker turnaround, and even more consistent service for our home buyers.
What’s Included in a Tiger Septic Inspection?
Our inspections give you a complete, modern view of the system’s condition and performance.
- The tank is located, opened, and we identify and inspect the distribution boxes.
- Camera inspection of underground piping and leaching fields with a high-definition pipe camera.
- Standing fluid levels are checked upon opening the tank to detect leaks, cracks, or poor leaching.
- A flood test is performed to evaluate system performance to accept water flow.
- Backfill all the holes, making sure the property is cleaned up, as well as throw down grass seed.
- Photos and videos of any issues are provided in the report.
- Clear, detailed report delivered within 24 hours.
Ask to add a septic inspection to your home inspection, or schedule one as a stand-alone test. We’ll take care of the rest.
Your septic questions answered here:
Do I Need to Pump the Tank First?
No — and here’s why:
Pumping is not required for an effective inspection. In fact, having a full tank gives us better insight into fluid levels and possible structural issues. With our high-resolution cameras and flow tests, we can spot clogs, cracks, or sagging pipes without needing to pump.
If pumping is needed, we’ll recommend it after the inspection, avoiding unnecessary expense and the risk of needing to pump again before repairs.
How Long Does It Take?
Plan for 1 to 1.5 hours on site.
When Will I Get My Report?
Within 24 hours, we’ll send:
-
A digital report to you via email
-
Optional delivery to your agent upon your request
-
Clear next steps if any issues are found
