In our 31 years in business, we have grown and cultivated a skillful team of inspectors, living and working throughout CT and bordering counties of Rhode Island and New York. I would like to introduce you to the Tiger Group Team. We have inspectors to assist you in your local area or with particular property specialties. Individually, our inspectors are the core of our company; together they further strengthen our service level through working together on multi-inspector luxury properties and commercial buildings as well as providing an in-house network, sharing expertise with one other.
Most often I am involved in business operations, but I still enjoy being in the field for inspections; I have had a life-long love for buildings and new construction that started with my construction experience and degree in Construction Management. Based on my field experiences, I have developed our ongoing inspector training program, one of the valuable strengths of a multi-inspector organization. We all continue to benefit from our combined expertise.

Our Fairfield County Manager, George Turner is one of our most requested inspectors, often complimented for his patience with clients, helping first-time buyers, and experience inspecting luxury properties. He is also a HUD Consultant, assisting clients in navigating the 203k Renovation Loan process.
Are you a fan of This Old House? Alan Williams has inspected more antique homes than most inspectors have done any kind of home inspections, serving Eastern CT and RI. Keith Powell also has a passion for historical preservation. He just finished building his own new construction home and also works with our Commercial Team, so we’d call him very well-rounded. And Tiger has Antique Home Specialists in every county.
Piete Velsor was fortunate to have gone through our training program with antique home extraordinaire David Townsend, adding a skill for inspecting vintage homes to his construction knowledge. He has inspected hundreds of Connecticut shoreline waterfront properties and enjoys all the curious things we find as inspectors.
More niches and specialties…
Art Diedrick, with 20 years of Inspecting in Hartford County, is a very highly requested inspector due to his friendly approach; he also has extensive masonry experience. Bryan Boling brings to Tiger his background in Mold Assessments and building maintenance, his calm demeanor guides clients through both processes seamlessly. Todd Disston is a certified drone operator (think hard-to-access roof and chimney properties) as well as a HUD Consultant.
Brett Avelin, known for his extremely professional and calm manner, brings expertise in solar and building efficiency to our clients. Along with developing inspectors as a Tiger Trainer, he is a Certified Thermographer, allowing him to use an infrared camera on inspections. John Horrocks is a wealth of knowledge; he has seen almost everything in his 30+ years conducting inspections of all types. And ask him about all the famous people he’s met!
Both Mark Nason and Dave Stevenson not only have valuable building maintenance experience but they both also work Sundays! Dave is well known for his friendly demeanor and exceptional client relations. Eric Hackett’s carpentry background and detailed reporting make him an invaluable asset to our team.
Tiger Vice President, Bill Rourke continually trains our staff while conducting team inspections on luxury properties. He takes pride in seeing the Tiger inspectors he has trained flourish. Pat Hughes and Tom Sheehan often work with Bill on large estates in Hartford County. Additionally, Tom is well respected for his patience with first-time buyers and his ability to handle varied property types. Pat is a valued member of our Mold Assessment Team and clients enjoy his knowledge and humor.
With 20+ years at Tiger, Bill Denslow wears many hats. He developed our Mold Assessment Services and manages our team of four Mold Specialists, who are all certified in Thermography. Additionally, his expertise lends him to be a go-to for commercial projects, and clients appreciate his attention to detail on all types of inspection jobs.
